Book Review: The Recession Groom: Vani

The Recession Groom by Vani is a book dedicated to the aspirations of a young chap, to the feelings and the people near him to discuss their neuroses full of stereotypes. This book is more that speaks of the strengths not to be hidden and believing in themselves, of forgiveness, of sacrifice, of family, of the errors of the past, the prejudices of the people and especially of love.

Parshuraman Joshi, 27, is a handsome ripe for marriage Punjabi IT Professional, settled in Canada. He earns a high-figure remuneration and is inundated with matrimonial proposals. His sister Ragini and officious aunt Parvati try to top each other in looking for an ideal girl for him. Their exploits are among the most beautiful parts of the book.

Parshuraman do not move in an empty world, vitalized only by their presence and by marriage. He is in a universe full, finished, faceted as, imperceptibly. He has to compromise with reality, and the sublimation of this compromise is the marriage. It is understood as a metaphor for a life that will be a ceremony without end. There is a promise of union with all the things you respect and love.

While so far all attempts to settle him have gone useless, he has greater issues niggling him. There is Jennifer, his fireball of a partner. To top it all, he has to countenance the challenges posed by a hard-hitting financial system as the credit crisis grips the global economy. The small world he's created for himself begins to fall apart.

Parshuraman is a person of flesh and blood, who speaks, acts, of which we find passions, preferences, details. In the end it is he the balance with social customs, status quo and a past that he seeks to overcome but cannot. Certain roots have an incalculable depth that is difficult to eradicate.

So we know his aunt and relatives complete with a mentor from the blue eyes. It will help the protagonist to break free from his vice, evasive friends, a economy in crisis. Then there is the sprightly old practical grandmother, assorted relatives, and old flames. Their daily lives, their problems, their way of life brings them closer to the reader. It involves them humanely, makes them share in all their inward movement.

The author takes us with deep affection in his beautiful world with the face of ordinary people living complete his daily life. The second is a family as the fundamental basis of society, the hols as custodian of human, social, civic and educational training. There is the family as absolute with conservative traditions, customs and costumes. It is the story of a family with all natural ingredients of each family.

The central theme of the book is the marriage, and especially the organization of the event. The guy struggles with obvious problems of agony aunts, future partner kept in the dark, organizational difficulties, and trouble to no end. Between races against time, budget definitely laced, delusions of grandeur that are confronted with the harsh test of reality. There is also room for a series of vertical textures that enrich the novel and make it not only fun, but exciting.

Writing a book lively and fun is far from an easy task. The author creates believable characters. He uses a style suited to the situation which is complicated. The author succeeds in masterfully. The book is an enjoyable read, sliding, full of ideas of fun. There are exciting passages with a novel written before all very well, with a neat and personnel style.

The novel blends admirably human commitment and irony. The thing that struck most is the rhythm. There are pages where the pace is furious when other runs slow. Then there are landscapes described according to the state of mind or the font of the same character.

The wonderful characters in the story, especially, the aunt and her daughters and colleagues, friends and relatives are all believable people. They have quirks and foibles that make them very human. They ensure that they have a strong personality, worthy of being remembered and celebrated. Each of them, in the end, is like a caterpillar that becomes a butterfly and then undergoes a metamorphosis.

Whether good or bad, these characters are truly unforgettable. In addition to the characteristic they impress everyone. They have full of sincere feelings, good that you might say, in a world so shocking and there is so much goodness.

It is a pleasant book to read for the fluency of language, and for the seemingly simple plot. The marriage backdrop makes it more alive. It portrays perfectly the dynamics and characteristics of the people. They are ironic and sentimental, full of impulses and fears, with a big heart that unites all.

It was great fun to read these pages so well-written and well described. It surely is an enjoyable read, with the text is very smooth, and the story is pretty funny. The book is never boring, in fact there is some twist every now and that makes it a bit sparkling. Modern, sliding, ironic with interesting and current ideas it should be read in one breath that excites and involves.

Beautiful and funny the book reveals the maximum of life with humour and lightness without many frills. It is well written, with rhythm and, is the novel about life. It tells us how it performs in a truthful life of each of us, without so many happy endings with a book light and really worth reading.
